Job Description
We’re launching an exciting new team dedicated to Middleware & Messaging Operations, and we want you to be part of it!
As a key player in this dynamic team of four, you’ll collaborate with operational teams and work closely with main stakeholders to power critical components that drive our organization forward. You’ll tackle complex challenges, streamline processes, and implement cutting-edge solutions that make a real impact.

In this role, you will:
- Manage messaging software in team (Kafka, RabbitMq, Reddis, Solr,Ansible, Github)
- Design and implement new continuous deployment pipelines
- Enhance and review automation of middleware installation via ansible playbook and kubernetes tools
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to bring them expertise on messaging software by providing technical support and troubleshooting
- Monitoring and manage KPI (Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Pager Duty)
- Build monitoring dashboards with Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, and more to track infrastructure health and ensure SLA compliance
- Audit log configuration and exploitation to ensure compliant monitoring
- Provide users with a clear view and understanding of each platform's state and health
- Build alerting around metrics and logs
- Security compliance ( Vault, TLS, SASL, Encryption, ACL, RBAC, LDAP)
- Ensure compliance with bank security standard and FINMA regulation
- Enforce good usage and best practice inside of each software
- Documentation and tooling (Teams, Jira, Readme, Confluence)
- Write and review procedures
- Document all the infrastructure
- Provide resources for developers and operation teams
- R&D
- Study cloud migration possibilities like Kubernetes
- Introduce new tools to the platform
- Benchmark new solutions
Qualifications
- Previous experiences in managing RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Redis, or Solr/SolrCloud in critical environments.
- At least 3 years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering, including a focus on high-availability systems and production ownership
- Experience with automation and self-service tools to empower teams to manage configurations independently, such as using tools like Git, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform for messaging infrastructure.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation to streamline operations.
- Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana) for tracking system performance and setting up proactive alerts.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, including access management and data encryption.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and their integration with messaging and search platforms.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) for managing configurations.
