Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Performance Management:
- Drive the cost review process, ensuring adherence to annual budgets.
- Manage and oversee cost efficiency programs, developing financial roadmaps with factory leadership.
- Lead financial planning processes, including annual operating plans, target development, and financial performance reporting.
- Ensure proper working capital management, trial balance reviews, and schedule maintenance for financial hygiene.
- Support and maintain costing systems, including new product costing.
Controls, Compliance & Risk Management:
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations.
- Partner with auditors (Statutory, Internal, SOX) to uphold financial controls and reporting integrity.
- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with commercial laws and tax regulations in coordination with the legal and central taxation team.
- Oversee risk management frameworks to mitigate financial risks at the site.
Capital Investment & Cost Optimization:
- Prepare and monitor capital budgets, evaluating the financial viability of capital investments.
- Drive capital stewardship and control capital expenditure.
- Lead process improvement initiatives through benchmarking and best practice implementation.
- Support long-term manufacturing strategies and identify value optimization opportunities.
Business Partnership & Leadership:
- Act as a key finance partner to plant leadership, providing financial insights and recommendations for business strategies and decisions.
- Drive process harmonization, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the Finance team.
- Contribute to ISC initiatives such as IL6S and HPWS as part of the plant leadership team.
People & Talent Development:
- Build and develop a high-performing finance team, driving a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Implement performance management processes, ensuring career development and upskilling for team members.
- Recruit and nurture finance talent, with a focus on Supply Chain/Plant Controlling capabilities.
What You Bring:
- Technical Expertise: Strong financial planning and performance management experience, including cost management, investment analysis, and financial strategy execution.
- Business Acumen: Deep understanding of financial operations in the FMCG sector, preferably in manufacturing and supply chain finance.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Proven ability to partner with cross-functional teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive strategic financial decisions.
- Growth & Digital Mindset: Ability to leverage technology and data to improve operational efficiency.
- Integrity & Judgment: Strong adherence to financial regulations, ethical decision-making, and sound business judgment.
Preferred Background:
- CA with minimum 5-7 years of experience in the finance function of a MNC.
- Prior experience in Plant Finance roles within manufacturing, FMCG, or similar industries.
- Experience handling financial controls, compliance, and cost optimization in a plant setting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing financial metrics, capital investments, and cost structures.
