Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To oversee and drive all Planning/Scheduling related activities to assure customer expectations are met and business goals attained.

Responsible for managing the scheduling and release of daily work by value stream to support a demand driven philosophy.

Coach and Motivate employees and provide Leadership for improved team results and employee involvement.

Lead the seamless collaboration of tactical purchasing and demand management to resolve differences between supply chain capabilities and the operational plan.

Develop and implement daily tracking metrics that pinpoint key accountabilities and with support from other disciplines issue resolution.

Effectively work to transition operations from a traditional schedule push mentality to demand driven production.

Track and report forecast accuracy and related performance metrics on month and quarterly basis to management.

Coordinate with other departments as required for implementing systemic schedule improvement.

Assure the working environment is safe for the employees and enforce Safe work practices with the team.

Comply with, and enforce, all company policies as they apply to the area of responsibility.

Maintain excellent communication and working relationship with all departments within the company to ensure transparency of the Planning process.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
Education and Experience:
-
BA/BS degree in related field required
-
CPIM certification preferred
-
Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Production Planning and Procurement
-
3 years minimum supervisory experience
-
Background in Electronics or Fiber Optics a plus
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Proven Project management skills

Well Organized and Multitasked, Self starter

Proven Leadership skills/experience (ability to drive and motivate)

Computer Literate –proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, ERP systems
-
Strong interpersonal communication skills – written and verbal.

Previous experience in Engineer-to-order company a plus
