What you will do:
The Investment Operations Associate will have daily contact with various operations groups within PGIM Quantitative Solutions (PGIM QS), as well as the portfolio management team. The Investment Operations Associate will be dealing with sensitive cash data, which is critical to the decision making process of the portfolio management team. The job involves the completion of a cash and share package for each cash account for which the Associate is responsible. Electra is the reconciliation system used for the completion of the cash and share reconciliation package. Associate will work closely with custodians and brokers to ensure all equity and FX trades settle properly within client accounts.
Responsibilities & Expectations include:
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members & business partners.
- Actively participates in Agile Scrum methodologies; reviewing stories, creating tasks, product grooming, estimating work, stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning etc.
- Strong diagnostic, analytic, and problem-solving skills
- Analyzes business requirements / stories, elicits further clarification, politely challenges, asks “why” and understands context before solutioning.
- Designs solutions by applying modern software architectural patterns and can articulate reasons behind design decisions. Keeps up with new technologies and incorporates best practices.
- Demonstrates deep technical domain expertise
- Builds scalable, supportable software that follows PQS coding standards, including secure coding best practices and incorporates other IT governance / risk standards.
- Experienced working in a test-driven development environment.
- Develop and execute test scenarios to ensure the stability and performance of applications utilizing unit test framework
- Participates in peer code reviews to maintain & improve the quality of solutions.
- Supports QA & UAT processes to enable delivery of the end product.
- Shares ideas / concepts at relevant communities of practice and within the broader team.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot production issues, and drive process improvements by incorporating new technologies and best practices to enhance business operations.
- Periodic production support responsibilities

Skills / Qualifications:
- 7+ years prior .NET development in Financial Services
- .NET Framework 4.6.1 and up
- C#, ASP.NET MVC 5, AJAX, Windows Communication Foundation
- Oracle, SQL Server
- JavaScript, JSON, HTML CSS, and JQuery
- Visual Studio 2022
- Expertise in Object Oriented Programming
- Experience in Unit test framework and continuous integration
- Experience in Multitier design & development
- Knowledge of Microsoft reporting service, Microsoft Patterns & Best Practices
- B.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar

- Power Apps Proficiency: Ability to design and develop low-code/no-code solutions using Microsoft Power Apps, integrating with Dataverse, Power Automate, and other Microsoft 365 services.
- Containerization on Azure: Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, with a focus on deploying, managing, and scaling applications in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or Azure Container Apps.
- Python Development: Strong proficiency in Python, including experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask, and the ability to write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.

The salary range for this role is from $125,000 to $150,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
