What you will do

We are seeking a driven Institutional Sales professional to join our Business Development team at PGIM Private Alternatives as a Vice President. Reporting to the Regional Head, this role involves supporting and executing business development activities targeting institutional investors across the U.S. West and Mountain West regions. This position offers the opportunity to impact our organization significantly by leveraging your expertise in private market investments. PGIM Private Alternatives manages over $300 billion in private alternatives strategies across real estate, private credit, private equity secondaries, agriculture and infrastructure.

Location: In-region with a strong preference for San Francisco or Los Angeles

What you can expect

  • Work closely with the head of the U.S. West and Mountain West region to create and execute a business plan to target institutional clients and consultants, resulting in successful achievement of capital raising goals.
  • Develop and implement targeted outreach programs to engage with prospective clients and consultants on priority strategies.
  • Actively participate in existing client meetings and prospect sales pitches; oversee due diligence and client onboarding process.
  • Maintain consultative discussions with clients, acting as a strategic advisor and communicating PGIM’s product offerings.
  • Collaborate with investment professionals to provide insights from investor discussions and contribute to product development.
  • Maintain and manage client communication databases
  • Partner with Investor Services team to oversee the distribution of client communications and portfolio reports to clients and prospects
  • Contribute to the development and production of client materials, including but not limited to pitch books, RFPs and RFI’s as well as the coordination of client events.
  • Assist with a variety of special projects.

What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in private markets investment or institutional sales.
  • Established relationships with institutional investors and experience raising capital, and originating and growing new investor relationships.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for client meetings.
  • Series 7 and 63 FINRA licenses.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $165,000 to $225,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
