How we'll deliver success:
The Performance Marketing Manager at Shippo will play a key role in driving user acquisition through performance marketing channels with a focus on SEM. This role requires deep expertise in Google Ads optimization and management, along with the ability to experiment with and develop additional acquisition channels. You will own performance metrics and continuously optimize campaigns to improve CAC and LTV, contributing directly to Shippo's growth objectives. The successful candidate will be a data-driven self-starter with the ability to work and grow in a fast-paced, complex and ever-changing environment.
Shipping & handling responsibilities:
- Support SEM Strategy and Execution: Manage, optimize, and scale Google Ads campaigns to meet user acquisition targets with efficient CAC. Implement advanced campaign structures, bidding strategies, and testing methodologies.
- Channel Expansion: Continuously experiment across new and existing channels (Meta, LinkedIn, X, Reddit etc), identifying high-performing initiatives and scaling them into sustainable acquisition engines.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of campaign performance, interpreting data to identify optimization opportunities and implementing data-driven improvements.
- Ongoing Optimization: Conduct regular, extensive experimentation to facilitate rapid learning and application of any insights. Work on improving conversion rates through landing page testing, audience segmentation, and messaging refinement.
- Campaign Tracking & Reporting: Maintain accurate tracking across all marketing channels using GA4 and Google Tag Manager. Create and manage comprehensive performance reports to communicate results and insights.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, design, and finance teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives and ensure campaign effectiveness.
- Budget Management: Efficiently allocate and manage campaign budgets across channels to maximize ROI and meet acquisition targets.

- Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance marketing with deep expertise in Google Ads/SEM in a B2B / software environment
- Channel Expertise: Demonstrated success optimizing multi-million-dollar SEM campaigns at scale with proven results in improving key metrics (CAC, conversion rates, ROAS)
- Multi-Channel Knowledge: Experience running campaigns across various platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Reddit
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of GA4, Google Tag Manager, and marketing attribution models
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze campaign data, derive insights, and make data-driven recommendations to improve performance
- Tools: Experience with Google Ads Editor, A/B testing tools (e.g. Optimizely), and BI platforms like Looker or Databricks
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Our Compensation Shippolicy:
We believe compensation is a custom experience and are commited to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min is $107k to a max $145k annual salary. We tend to anchor our pay in the middle of this range ($126k). Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.
The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: financial budgets, work experience, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market value. The base pay salary ranges are subject to change and may be modified in the future. Total compensation for this role will include, equity, medical, dental, vision and other benefits noted in our Shippos “package” section.

Our people, much like the packages we help ship, are all over the world. This means, through our remote-first program, “Shippos Everywhere”, our roles can be based anywhere in the US with the exception of Delaware, Nevada, Ohio, Oregon, Hawaii, New Mexico and West Virginia and many roles can be based internationally.
For locations outside of the US and Ireland, the employment contracts are powered by Remote.com (all Shippo perks still apply - including equity!). What we want to emphasize is that you can be successful at Shippo regardless of location.
