Job Description
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Under the direct supervision of the manager, the incumbent will provide professional support to partners and investment managers through timely and accurate delivery of performance and analytics.
- Manage calculation and analysis of complex reporting situations using experience and performance reporting query tools.
- Responsible for the completion of any specific report, resolution of any issues that arise during the normal quality assurance checks and communication of this information to all interested parties.
- Manages and identifies procedural or operational inefficiencies, recommends and coordinates process improvement solutions. Actively participates or leads special and strategic projects.
Formal Education/Qualifications:
A qualified candidate will possess a Bachelors or Master's degree or an equivalent certificate with concentration in Accounting, Finance, Management and Mathematics.
License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- None
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Investment Management industry is preferred.
- Profound understanding of global Investment products.
- Prepare Performance, Attribution and Analytics report and provide summary to CPM’s, Fund Managers.
- Collaborate with our business partners to understand the requirements of the Portfolio Managers, Client Reporting, Marketing and Sales team and implement those changes in the workflow to help them carry out their daily activities seamlessly.
- Create Weekly and Monthly Market Review, Strategy and Board meeting reports for Portfolio Managers and Sr Management.
- Calculation and interpretation of MPT Statistics.
- Understanding of risk models/methodologies.
- Knowledge on Portfolio return’s reconciliation & investigation process down to the security level.
- Experience on applications like Factset, Blackrock Aladdin, Bloomberg PORT, BARRA etc. preferred.
- Knowledge on fundamental industry classifications like GICS, BICS, ICB etc. And ability to create custom breakdowns.
- Knowledge on Indices/ability to create/setup custom benchmarks.
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
- A general knowledge of performance measurement, accounting theory and practices is preferred. S/he must be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrates a high degree of growth mindset & adaptability to change and innovation. Seeks to understand change and its implication and benefits, then adapts behavior to support the change.
- Open minded, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- The ability to contribute in a team environment is critical.
Working Conditions:
- Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
- Hours include alternate shift work, evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by cell phone.
