Job Summary:
The People Operations Team at IPH is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic People Services Specialist to primarily support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s People Department.
As part of our Employee Experience Team, you will help shape the way we deliver HR Services to the organization. You’ll be an integral part of the team building an awesome employee experience through partnering with leaders and employees on a variety of topics.
Job Location: Hybrid - Phoenix, Arizona
Main Responsibilities:
- Creates and updates employee records in the HRIS ensuring accuracy and validity of information
- Problem solves employee inquiries and owns the resolution and communication back to the internal customer
- Supports ad-hoc reporting requests, prepares proposals and presentations
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate other People Operations team members
- Supports the People team with organizational tasks and various administrative duties
- Coordinates off-boarding activities, such as: asset retrieval, HRIS data entry, etc.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, wellness events, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
- Partner across the organization on various topics and programs in support of delivering a seamless end to end employee experience
- Contributes to policy writing and interpretation. May assist in developing organizational policy and procedural efficiencies within team e organization’s values
- Supports People Partners in Employee Relations matters as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
- 1 – 3 years of human resources related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Successful multitasker who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications
- Self-motivated and demonstrated eagerness to learn
- Ability to work closely with others as part of a team and/or independently while taking ownership for a task
- Ability to escalate when needed and operate as an effective member of the People team
