All about the role:
In this role, you will be reporting to the Cluster People Partner NOLA, based in Miami, FL. This role will be based in San Juan, Puerto Rico and is fully onsite (Hybrid). As a member of the People team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing our people relations programs, policies, and procedures (from talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, projects, offboarding, among others). You will also be responsible for fostering positive communication and strong relationships with our employees to promote a culture of engagement and satisfaction.
What you’ll do:

Work closely with Supervisors and Managers on assigned shift in assisting with all hourly team member interactions to include:

Corrective Actions (training sessions included)
-
Conducting Internal investigations
-
Investigating assigned Ethics Line Claims
-

Manage local improvement projects.

Support the business with the local people plan.

Conduct regular round table sessions.
-
Hosts regular supervisor meetings for assigned shift to discuss current topics.

Be responsible for hourly team member compensation policies and practices.

Respond to unemployment claims.

Provide employee relations support to assigned shift to include inquiries and phone calls from team members.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's degree required in a related area and 8+ years of experience in manufacturing setting.

Ability to effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) with all levels of hourly and salaried employees.

Knowledge of applicable federal and state labor laws including FMLA, FLSA, Worker’s Compensation, EEOC, etc.

Knowledge and experience in positive employee relations, litigation, employee development, training, and recruitment.

Knowledge and ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures; investigate complaints and bring resolution thereof.
