About the Role

At Xaira, we’re on an exciting journey of growth and innovation, and we need a People Operations Manager to help scale our people programs and create an engaging employee experience. This role is pivotal in shaping our culture and driving strategic HR initiatives—all while keeping our team excited about coming to work every day.
What You’ll Own & Drive
Employee Experience & Engagement:

- Champion employee engagement efforts—think rituals, team-building, surveys, and culture!
- Lead employee recognition programs that reinforce our values and celebrate wins.
- Own our onboarding and offboarding processes, making sure every transition is smooth.
- Build and maintain our Employee Portal, a go-to hub for all things people-related
Total Rewards:

- Administer our benefits & wellness programs keeping our team feeling happy, healthy and supported.
- Manage our annual benefits open enrollment and liaise with our benefits broker to field questions and resolve any day-to-day issues.
- Track and manage leave of absences with care.
- Own compensation data management & reporting
Compliance & Risk Management:

- Keep our employee handbook guide up-to-date and assist in shaping people-related practices & policies that reflect our company’s values.
- Coordinate and track employee trainings via our learning management system (LMS) and manage compliance reporting (EEO, CA Pay Data, Safe Harbor Testing).
- Stay ahead of labor laws and HR trends to keep us compliant and competitive.
Immigration Program:

- Liaise with immigration counsel to manage and track all cases, including renewals and policy updates.
- Stay informed on immigration trends and potential impacts to our team.
HRIS, Data Management & Reporting:

- Draft and track offer letters with precision.
- Partner with Finance for payroll administration.
- Keep employee records, org charts, and contractors & consultant data current.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of HR experience in fast-paced environments (startup experience = a plus!).
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (HR certifications preferred).
- Strong grasp of HR best practices, compliance, and engagement strategies.
- Experience with BambooHR or similar HR information systems (HRIS).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills—you build trust effortlessly.
- A proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and project management skills.
- Experience with immigration administration.

Compensation
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, seeking to provide an open, flexible, and friendly work environment to empower employees and provide them with a platform to develop their long-term careers. A Summary of Benefits is available for all applicants. The base pay range for this position is expected to be $125,000 - $150,000 annually; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on the market, job-related knowledge, skills and capabilities, and experience.
