Summary of Position

The People Operations Associate, HR Policies and Programs is a critical role to the People & Culture team effectiveness.  This candidate is part of the HR support model tasked with establishing a high quality, service-driven HR operations function. The People Operations Associate, HR Policies and Programs is responsible for HR operations, transactional processing, and establishing best practices to ensure HR operations are running smoothly and efficiently. The candidate must demonstrate a customer centric attitude, a sense of urgency, and thrive in an innovative, faced paced environment. 

 

 The candidate is responsible for supporting the operational delivery across a broad range of employee life-cycle experiences regarding compliance, policies, and programs.  As the catalyst for HR Policies and Programs, the candidate will assist in the employee compliance initiatives to ensure all contractual requirements are maintained and met, as well as create, update, and maintain HR policies and programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor employee changes within HRIS and ensure compliance related items have been completed and provide reports to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Audit the HRIS systems and processes and ensure regulatory compliance, effectiveness, efficiency, and data security & integrity.
  • Perform complex technical and administrative duties to support HR Policies and Programs.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement that delivers scalable support to the business. 
  • Provide documentation as requested with a sense of urgency for internal and external audits.
  • Maintain OIG records for employees and contingent workers, ensuring records reflect current standing.
  • Partner with Compliance team regarding any needed reports, documentation, and audits of HR data.
  • Monitor HR Policy cases, responding in a timely manner and ensuring satisfactory resolution.
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvements to HR policies, programs and processes to drive efficiencies and take the experience with our employees to the next level.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to implement innovative people process programs that are simple and scalable.
  • Partner with our legal department as needed for due diligence with M&As and the Compliance department for internal audits and general company compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, ensuring policies are modified to reflect legal changes, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The time spent on each responsibility, if listed, reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.
Qualifications Expected for Position

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience 
  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience with creating and maintaining HR policies required, experience with international preferred
  • Experience partnering with external auditors required
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite, Google Drive, SharePoint 
  • Experience using Workday a plus 
  • Able to compile, sort and analyze data from multiple sources 
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends 
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multi-task 
  • Proficient in HR Operations principles and practices 
  • Ability to efficiently coordinate multiple projects under the pressure of tight deadlines 
  • Displays a growth mindset to continually learn and grow 
  • Focused on solving issues with a sense of urgency 

The base salary range for this position is $60,000-$70,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
