People Analytics Analyst
Who You’ll Work With:
The People Analytics Analyst will join our dynamic and forward-thinking People team, a group dedicated to fostering a data-driven culture within AllianceBernstein. Our People team is committed to enhancing the employee experience, driving organizational effectiveness, and supporting strategic business goals through innovative HR practices and insights.
As a People Analytics Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our team by providing actionable insights that drive our HR strategies and initiatives. You will work closely with HR leaders, business partners, and other stakeholders across the firm and across the globe to ensure that our decisions are backed by robust data analysis. Your expertise will help us identify trends, forecast future workforce needs, and measure the positive impact of our HR programs.
What You’ll Do:
The People Analytics Analyst role involves analyzing workforce data, generating insights, and providing actionable recommendations to improve employee experience, retention, and overall organizational performance. Reporting to the Vice President of People Analytics, responsibilities for this position include the following:
Data analysis and reporting:
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data from various sources (HRIS, payroll, surveys, etc.)
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Microsoft Excel using functions and macros to track key HR metrics and trends.
- Conduct statistical analyses to identify patterns and insights for all HR data including Diversity & Inclusion, Employee Relations, Recruiting, and Talent Management.
Strategic insights:
- Provide data-driven recommendations to HR and business leaders to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for improving HR processes and programs based on data insights.
- Conduct predictive analytics to forecast workforce trends and outcomes.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to HR and business leaders to support strategic decision-making.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
- Develop and share data stories to communicate complex analyses in an understandable way.
Data Management:
- Ensure data quality and consistency across all HR systems.
- Implement and maintain data governance practices.
- Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in people analytics.
What We’re Looking For:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in people analytics, HR analytics, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Python, or similar.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and data integration.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modeling.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present data findings to non-technical audiences.
- Strong storytelling skills to convey data insights effectively.
Interpersonal Skills:
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
