About The Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements.
The Payroll Analyst is responsible for multiple functions within the payroll department including: balancing and reconciling payroll processing; tax withholding/reporting for all jurisdictions; balancing gross to taxable each pay period to ensure accurate quarterly filings and annual W-2 forms; researching and resolving payroll-related issues promptly; updating tax & garnishment processing through Workday & ADP; interacting and managing vendor and client relationships and managing special ad-hoc projects when necessary. The ideal candidate must be proficient in Excel, highly organized, detail-oriented, possess efficient work habits with follow-up ability and excellent customer service skills.
This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.
About The Team: | The Team and/or Brand.
The payroll department is part of our Shared Services Operations. The payroll department is responsible for accurately and timely processing employee compensation while ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
About The Positions Contributions: Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results.
- 60% Responsible for processing payroll; balancing gross to taxable each pay period to ensure accurate quarterly filings and annual W-2 forms.
- 20% Researching and assisting employees with payroll-related issues promptly
- 10% Updating Tax & Garnishment processing in Workday & ADP
- 10% Special Projects working with payroll team and other departments and other duties as assigned
The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements.
- Education: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in finance/accounting equivalent preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3-5 Years of experience in multi-state payroll environment; FPC/CPP Designation preferred
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities.
- Knowledge of payroll concepts, practices and procedures
- Accounting, Workday, ADP, intermediate Excel and Word skills
- Web-based time tracking skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
