ABOUT THE ROLE
Side is seeking a detail-oriented Payments Specialist to join our team! In this role, you’ll ensure timely and accurate deposits and disbursements, making sure our agents get paid seamlessly. You'll play a key part in maintaining the integrity of transactions against real estate standards while reconciling payments efficiently. We’re looking for a proactive problem-solver who delivers exceptional customer service and maintains clear, professional communication. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Manage communications across email, phone, and Slack to support agents.
- Investigate, triage, and resolve payment discrepancies or escalate when needed.
- Match deposits to transactions and reconcile payments accurately and timely.
- Proactively resolve missing payment statuses, mismatches, or errors.
- Address and resolve issues related to uncashed checks.
- Review and validate agent compensation payments and splits for accuracy.
- Ensure transactions meet Brokerage standards and are fully executed.
- Document procedures and create how to guides; train down as needed.
- Analyze data or processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Support audits, month-end reconciliation, system implementations and special projects.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data management and reconciliation.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
- Adaptable to change, able to shift priorities to meet business needs
- Experience with systems like Workday, Zendesk, and Modern Treasury is a plus.
