As a Payment Lifecycle Analyst in our Payments Operations team, you will support daily operations in EMEA Auto FX. This role involves managing FX payment processing activities, involving investigating, inputting, and verifying payments across multiple platforms. You will ensure efficient and accurate handling of transactions while maintaining compliance with documented procedures and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage payment processing activities, involving investigating, inputting, and verifying payments across multiple platforms.
- Investigate breaks in the General Ledger due to failed payments and take appropriate actions to resolve the breaks within the pre-determined SLAs. Own the investigation and evidencing of the SOX samples for testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, middle office, and the wider payments organization to ensure exceptional service to our clients.
- Be involved in any change-related initiatives concerning system technology or processes, and share ideas, thoughts, and inputs on implementation. Conduct data analysis to identify patterns and trends, and suggest ways to realign operational standards.
- Review the standard operating procedures periodically to keep them updated and audit-ready. Identify and implement process efficiency opportunities in a controlled manner.
- Generate metrics for management review.
- Perform various operational tasks to meet deadlines and internal controls. Manage projects and collaborate with partner sites.
- Identify and escalate errors or exceptions promptly.
- Assist in training and educating team members on job functions and procedures. Conduct cross-training and knowledge transfer with team members. Create and update SOPs and documentation, ensuring adherence to standards and policies.
- Foster a positive work environment by maintaining healthy relations and supporting teammates.
- Adapt to night shifts and extended hours during high volume days.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Minimum 3 years of banking operations experience particularly in FX processing or Payments processing at a supervisory role
- A proven experience in executing highly technical operational processes and sustained delivery of services to clients while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, and driving process improvements
- Good balance between analytical skills and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate ability to face off very demanding stakeholders and ability to participate in large scale impact program execution
- Strong understanding of the Cash and FX transaction lifecycle & cash management
- Strong problem solving skills to identify, understand and address operational and technical issues
- Proficient in computer applications including MS Office applications and other common business enterprise software
- Good written and oral communication
- Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Basic understanding on SWIFT, Account reconciliation or FX products
- Prior experience working with treasury clients in a financial institution.
- Knowledge in automation tools such as Alteryx, UIPath, Tableau, etc. is a plus but not required
