Job Summary

Booking Holdings Financial Services, is building out a finance team with experience within a regulated financial services environment, helping to deliver a world-class payments operation to support Booking Holdings Inc’s brands globally.

The company is seeking to hire an Payments Analyst into the team

Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful candidate will be part of the  “Payments” team who will be responsible for the day to day processes, controls and reporting necessary to ensure the business meets its obligations with respect to safeguarding, reconciliation and reporting of “User Funds”.  This team will work closely with colleagues in affiliate companies who support the daily execution of key tasks under an outsourced arrangement.

The role is  part of the wider finance team  responsible for both the day to day financial operations of the Irish business as well supporting new business initiatives across the company.

The  Finance team will be responsible for ensuring BHFS is in compliance with all its regulatory and statutory responsibilities from a financial control and oversight perspective and will partner with both internal and external service providers to ensure a strong internal control environment.  

The Finance team will be accountable for the delivery of timely, complete and accurate financial statements and management reporting and supporting financial analysis,  and will support the local executive team in pursuit of the company’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of daily reconciliations in line with regulatory obligations around safeguarding.

  • Ensure all payment operations and treasury activities and associated reconciliation controls are completed in a timely and accurate manner

  • .Support both Internal and External audit review processes.

  • Support  all  Regulatory and reporting for the business.

  • Assist partner teams for the resolution of issues and completion of open items.

  • Partner with both internal and external service providers who support the business

  • Ensure a strong internal control environment within the payments group

Knowledge and Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience of working in regulated financial services.  Ideally within Payment Services but not essential.

  • Good knowledge of MS Office and Financial ERP (SAP) systems.

  • Attention to detail is key.

  • Excellent financial analysis skills

  • Excellent writing, communication, verbal and written, and organizational skills

  • Eager to learn new technologies and ideas. Comfortable navigating complicated and nuanced issues

  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a dynamic team environment.
