The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company's regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND.
Your Responsibilities
As a Student Electrical Engineer for John Deere Turf Care, located in Fuquay-Varina, NC, you will...

• Be involved with the design, integration, and verification of vehicle electrical systems for commercial mowing and golf/turf vehicles.
• Have the opportunity to design/assemble mule vehicle electrical systems, perform vehicle diagnostics, and support verification testing.

This position is not available to students on immigration visas.
What Skills You Need

• Electrical aptitude with basic knowledge of circuit analysis and experience with test and measurement equipment.
• Outstanding communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Completed courses related to electronic hardware and firmware, electrical systems, and power electronics.
• Working towards a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering
• Ability to work 16-20 hours per week during the academic year and 30-40 hours during the summer semester

• Working knowledge of design automation and CAD software
• Familiarity with serial communication (CAN, USB, SPE)
• Awareness of advanced technologies such as telematics, battery electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, and autonomy
