The law firm of Zerbe, Miller, Fingeret, Frank & Jadav, LLP is currently looking to grow it practice and is seeking talented individuals with litigation experience!
As a Paralegal, you will provide assistance and support to our litigation team.
Responsibilities
- Work hand-in-hand with a team of attorneys and paralegals to manage and prepare cases for trial
- Draft various pleadings, motions, stipulations and discovery
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs and appendices
- Conduct e-discovery
- Participate in client interviews, witness preparation and other trial preparations
- Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and draft legal memorandum for use in briefing
- Draft formal written responses to discovery requests
- Demonstrate advocacy skills and aptitude for learning new concepts and procedures
- Communications with Courts
- Managing discovery and trial deadlines
Qualifications
- 2+ years of litigation experience
- Experience with preparing/obtaining records, assembling exhibits, pleadings, summarizing transcripts, discovery, and trial preparation
- Experience drafting and responding to standard discovery demands (interrogatories, requests for production, etc.)
- Clear and effective communication skills
- Effective at working in a team environment
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Experience with Relativity is a plus but is not required
- Willingness to travel when necessary
