About the Role:

We are seeking a Government Affairs and Tax Incentives Paralegal for our Government Affairs team. If you are a detail-oriented paralegal with a background in government incentive programs and/or government affairs, this is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a cutting-edge industry and contribute to our growth and success.

CoreWeave is a tenant in numerous data centers across the US, supporting its cutting-edge AI cloud platform. Our data centers may qualify for State government incentives, such as sales and use tax exemptions. In addition, CoreWeave pursues local government incentives, including personal and real property tax abatements. 

You will play a crucial role in helping CoreWeave secure government incentives, and comply with the requirements of those incentive programs. This paralegal will also help the company develop and maintain a world-class compliance program to meet incentive reporting requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively across the company to assist in the preparation and submission of applications or renewals for government incentive programs, tax incentives, and others including grants, subsidies, and abatements.
  • Work across relevant departments of the company including accounting, human resources, legal and supply chain to develop the information necessary to prepare the applications. 
  • Interact with the internal team, outside counsel, vendors and government officials as it relates to application requirements, reporting and program specifics.
  • Assist to develop, implement and maintain compliance procedures to ensure the company complies with incentive program reporting and requirements.
  • Liaise with accounting, finance, human resources, procurement, supply chain and other cross-functional teams to secure the necessary information required to report on government incentive programs and remain in compliance with such requirements.
  • Work collaboratively to prioritize business objectives and support overall company success.
  • Support other projects, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years of paralegal or legal assistant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams to complete, revise, submit and advance government incentive applications and renewals. Experience can be in working with cross-functional teams required to achieve company objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to help build, implement and maintain programs to comply with incentive program requirements. Experience can be in working to achieve compliance with various types of requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and experience in project management. 
  •  A commitment to professional conduct, excellence and meticulous attention to detail, sometimes under time pressure.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,000-$145,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
