The Legal team is responsible for all legal and compliance aspects of Carousell's operations across all countries where Carousell has a local presence including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia, Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam. This role will cover multiple markets.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Para Legal Executive to provide comprehensive support to our Legal and Compliance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a keen interest in contract management, compliance, and corporate law. This role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
You will report directly to the Group Legal Director of Carousell in Singapore.

Job Description

Contract Management:
- Proofread a variety of agreements, including but not limited to NDAs, sales contracts, and vendor agreements.
- Conduct legal research to support contract drafting and negotiation.
- Assist in the contract management process, including tracking key dates, renewals, and amendments.
- Maintain an organised database of legal documents and agreements.

Compliance:
- Assist in the development and implementation of legal and regulatory compliance policies.
- Conduct legal research on relevant domestic and international laws and regulations.

Corporate Matters:
- Maintain and file corporate records, including resolutions, board of director changes, and annual reports.
- Assist with the preparation of legal documents related to corporate governance.

Legal Operations, Training and Development:
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of legal technology solutions
- Assist in process improvement initiatives
- Develop and deliver engaging training materials for employees on legal and compliance topics.
- Assist in creating and updating internal legal resources and guidelines.

General Legal Support:
- Provide general support to the legal team on various projects and initiatives (including licence applications).
- Assist in editing and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and filings.
- Arrange for the execution of documents, including wet ink and electronic signatures, in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Law
- At least 2 years of working experience in a legal support role
- Knowledge of legal principles
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
