About The Role
We’re looking for a strategic and execution-focused Paid Search Specialist to join our fast-paced, results-driven Demand Generation team. You’ll be responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing paid search campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to drive measurable performance outcomes for our clients. This role requires a deep understanding of the search landscape, campaign management, and a passion for continuous improvement through data and experimentation.
Your Day to Day
- Develop and execute paid search strategies across Google and Microsoft platforms, aligned to client goals and KPIs
- Structure, launch, and manage full-funnel search campaigns, from keyword research and audience targeting to ad copywriting and bidding strategies
- Conduct performance analysis using tools like Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and GA4 to surface insights and guide optimizations
- Identify growth opportunities through competitive and keyword research, market trends, and search behavior shifts
- Execute regular A/B testing of ads, audiences, extensions, and landing page experiences
- Maintain campaign pacing, budget alignment, and forecasting across multiple client accounts
- Write compelling and high-performing ad copy tailored to specific audiences and funnels
- Perform in-depth audits of existing paid search campaigns and make data-driven recommendations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with media, analytics, and client strategy teams to ensure integrated campaign execution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date conversion tracking and tagging, with a strong understanding of platform pixels and GTM implementation
- Proactively communicate campaign performance, opportunities, and risks to stakeholders
What You Bring
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing paid search campaigns in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads
- Demonstrated success managing B2B and/or B2C campaigns with performance KPIs (e.g., CPA, ROAS, lead volume)
- Strong copywriting skills tailored to search intent and funnel stage
- Advanced knowledge of current paid search capabilities (e.g., Responsive Search Ads, Audience targeting, Campaign strategies, Smart Bidding, PMax understanding)
- Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, conversion tracking setup, and UTM strategy
- Strong Excel/Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas for performance insights)
- Analytical mindset with a passion for testing and optimization
- Excellent attention to detail, project management, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced agency or multi-client environment
- Agency experience preferred
- Bonus: Familiarity with Looker Studio, SA360, Datorama, or other reporting platforms
- Bonus: Understanding of attribution modeling, first-party data strategies, and privacy-compliant targeting
Location: Chicago Preferred, Austin available as well
Hybrid Working Model (3 Days in office)
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
