SS&C is the largest global investor service provider, servicing more than 55 million investors. Continually investing in global technology and services across the spectrum of distribution channels including: Asset Managers, Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and large financial institutions such as Banks and Insurers. Investor servicing is offered in many different countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Luxembourg, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. SS&C also services mutual fund structures in many other fund domiciles.

Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) is the business unit offering this role. GIDS delivers global omni-channel investor servicing, including contact centre, using digital services.

About the Role

The expectation of this role is that the person is well established and experienced in software test management. The QA test manager is responsible for the management of the day-to-day test activities to deliver Quality Assurance of software implementations for new and existing projects. The test areas covered under the Percana system will be Life and Pensions functionality, documentation, web services, quotations & illustrations, product rules and client reports.

Your Responsibilities

Test Management

  • Setup and maintenance of Percana projects on test management tools 
  • Continuous review and enhancement of testing tools e.g. API Test Tools, Automation\Performance Test Tools
  • Setup and maintenance of testing resource folders
  • Ensures consistency of outputs e.g. test cases, test evidence, defect detail

Engages with delivery teams

  • Ensure programme delivery teams are signed up to the overarching test strategy
  • Ensure consistency of tooling and required outputs e.g. JIRA, Confluence, test plans, test completion reports
  • Confirm overarching gaps\dependencies
  • Central point for guidance\support e.g. where should we start with performance testing, is there a company standard for XXX, automation champion

Programme\Project Delivery Requirements:

  • Programme point of contact\owner for testing – testing section of PID, owns estimates and refinement, testing schedule\plan, testing milestones, reporting
  • Client point of contact\owner for testing
  • Define test approach including test phases, project specific dependencies, anything that deviates from the overarching test strategy etc.
  • Create and maintain RAID for testing
  • Engage with delivery teams to ensure they are aligned with Test Approach, milestones, reporting
  • Ensure downstream test phases are resourced and supported
  • Key player in all quality gate meetings
  • Provide programme\project test completion report\signoff

Support Sales\Client Engagement Process

  • Present\Represents overarching test strategy
  • Provide ROMs\Estimates including RAID – overarching test management, downstream test phases, number of test environments required
  • Feed into contract when required

Your Experience

  • Life Assurance and Pension industry experience and/or UK Financial Services experience
  • Previous experience working on transformation projects\projects migrating data from legacy systems
  • Experience working across different phases of testing including System Test, Integration Test, E2E and/or UAT
  • Experience of testing APIs; REST API and use of Postman or similar tooling
  • Experience in using test automation tools and implementing test automation regression plans
