Tate & Lyle Global Shared Services Centre in Łódź is the principal location for handling the business support activities and processes for Tate & Lyle, both transactional as well as value-added business partnering support. Starting operations in 2011 with less than 50 people, we now have over 350 employees supporting operations globally. We have 30 teams operating in Łódź to provide service in the areas of Finance, Customer Service, Procurement, HR/People Services, and IS/IT.

ROLE PURPOSE

The P2P Trainee will play a crucial role in supporting the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while maintaining compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines. The role contributes to process improvements, relationship management, and the overall performance of the Global Shared Services Centre (GSS).

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

· Assuring process compliance with corporate policies and regulatory guidelines.

· Assisting in month end closing related activities.

· Creating and updating Detail Process Manuals.

· Processing invoices and payments efficiently, meeting business and suppliers’ expectations.

· Assisting in month-end closing activities and balance sheet account reconciliations.

· Performing quality checks.

· Resolving business and vendor queries, issues effectively.

· Ensuring all targets are met, working to agreed KPI and SLA.

· Continuous process improvements and striving to deliver best practice and excellence.

· Work proactively with colleagues across the P2P department.

· Preparing regular and ad hoc reports.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

· KPIs relating to service and process efficiency and effectiveness.

· Accuracy and timeliness of invoice and payment processing.

· Effectiveness in resolving business and vendor inquiries.

· Contribution to process standardization and improvement initiatives.

· Quality and consistency of documentation and internal controls.

· Positive feedback from internal and external stakeholders.

COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or currently studying.

· Soft skills trainings would be beneficial.

· Experience gained in an international organisation (ideally shared services).

· Finance and accounting knowledge.

· SAP system knowledge desirable.

· Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.

· Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Teamwork and collaborative approach.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Self-motivation and proactiveness.

· Good MS Office skills, especially Excel and Access (V-Look-Ups, Pivots, etc).

· Good command of the English language, both verbal and in writing.

· Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
