Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and creative Organic Social Media Account Manager to join our growing team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity to be our first dedicated content hire in South Africa and play a pivotal role in shaping our social media presence. In this dual role, you will be responsible for developing and executing organic social media strategies for our clients while also assisting with project management on client aligned creative projects. You will have a unique opportunity to work closely with both our creative hub and local business unit, gaining valuable experience across different facets of digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Strategy:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive organic social media strategies aligned with client objectives and brand guidelines.
    • Conduct in-depth audience research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and optimize content strategies.
    • Stay abreast of social media trends, best practices, and platform updates to ensure cutting-edge strategies.
  • Content Creation & Curation:
    • Brief Incubeta’s internal creative team on content needs, ensuring alignment with the overall social media strategy and brand voice.
    • Oversee the creation of engaging and innovative content across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn, etc.).
    • Curate and share relevant industry content to enhance social media presence and thought leadership.
  • Community Management:
    • Manage day-to-day activities on social media channels, including posting content, scheduling posts, and monitoring community engagement.
    • Respond to comments and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, fostering a positive online community.
    • Proactively engage with followers and relevant industry influencers to build relationships and expand reach.
  • Project Management (Google-creative projects):
    • Assist with the planning, execution, and tracking of Google-creative projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project scope.
    • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to coordinate project activities and ensure seamless workflow.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively implement solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Reporting & Analysis:
    • Track and analyze key social media performance metrics (engagement, reach, impressions, etc.) using relevant tools (Emplifi, Sprinkler, Brandwatch).
    • Prepare regular reports on social media performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for optimization.
    • Contribute to campaign performance analysis, evaluating the impact of social media activities on overall marketing goals.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience managing organic social media for brands or agencies.
  • Skills:
    • Proven track record of creating compelling social media content and driving audience engagement.
    • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their audiences, and best practices.
    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with a strong understanding of brand voice and tone.
    • Proficiency in social media management tools and analytics platforms (Emplifi, Sprinkler, Brandwatch).
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
      • Google Product Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Slides, Docs, LookerStudio)
      • Microsoft Office (Excel & Powerpoint)
