Oracle Linux Administrator is going to perform systems management in conjunction with Oracle Linux systems administration, database, application and networking teams. Key activities will include OS patch management, systems architecture & design and installation, systems support and maintenance in Oracle Cloud (OCI) and On-Prem Infrastructure and Other Cloud Platforms like AWS, Azure.

Job Requirements:
- Intermediate to advanced level skillset in Oracle Cloud (OCI) or Other Cloud platforms
- Intermediate to advanced level Oracle Linux (or similar) systems administration (v6, v7, v8) day-to-day operational activities
- Install and configure servers and related program products and support tools
- Install operating system patches as supplied by the OEM in coordination with database administrator and the applications support staff.
- Install and Support Virtualization products - i.e. KVM, OLVM, Oracle VM
- Knowledge in Oracle ZFS storage appliance (or similar)
- Support automates processes and maintain the application and OS environments.
- Ability to make sound decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively, both orally and in writing.
Required Skillset:
- Minimum of 5-10 + years of experience in Oracle LINUX Administration, system software installation, customization and support in Oracle Cloud (OCI) and On-Prem Infrastructure.
- Experience with Virtualization Technologies (KVM, OVMM, Oracle PCA)
- Experience with Storage and backup technologies
Preferred Skillset:
- Experience with Cloud technologies ( OCI, AWS, Azure)
- Experience with KVM and Oracle VM, Oracle ZFS storage
- Experience with Oracle Engineered Systems (ODA, Oracle Exa, PCA and ExaCS).
- Experience with Shell scripting.
Additional Skillset:
- Oracle Solaris, LDOM and Zones
- VMWare
- Backup and Recovery tools
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Information Systems, or Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience. 6+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination and experience
