The Optimizely CMS and Commerce Developer role within the eCommerce team at Neogen has responsibility for delivering high-quality customer solutions contributing to the day-to-day technical excellence of a delivery team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the software development life cycle and Optimizely development best practices.
In this role you will be providing best-fit architectural solutions and be responsible for defining scope and sizing of work. You will support platform integration with third party services, as well as design and develop complex features to fulfill stakeholder and customer requirements. You will contribute in thought leadership, systems analysis, architecture, design, configuration, testing, debugging, and documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customize and extend the Optimizely Commerce configured platform to meet specific business requirements.
  • Participate in technical planning & requirements gathering phases including Design, code, test, troubleshoot, and document engineering software applications.
  • Integrate third-party systems, APIs, and services.
  • Create responsive and user-friendly e-commerce interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Optimize web pages for performance and accessibility.
  • Develop server-side components using technologies like .NET, C#, and SQL.
  • Implement business logic, data processing, and integration.
  • Conduct thorough testing of e-commerce features, ensuring functionality, security, and performance.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to support testing, identify and fix issues.
  • Work closely and foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers.
  • Communicate effectively to understand requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Identifies process efficiency and automation opportunities; supports improved data quality.
  • Applies knowledge of the human element and emotional intelligence to improve success within every improvement project.

  • Knowledge of more than one programming language.
  • Comfortable with both front and back-end development.
  • Breadth of experience and proven knowledge with:
    • Optimizely CMS and Customized Commerce (REQUIRED)
    • Netcore/.NetFramework
    • Javascript/ReactJs
    • ASP.NET MVC
    • Docker
    • Azure cloud platform
  • Strong debugging, problem solving and investigative skills.
  • Ability to assimilate disparate information (log files, error messages etc.) and pursue leads to find root cause problems.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Self-starter who can work independently.
  • Strong consulting and communication skills.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience.
