The Mission

Being a global company having in the strategy the delivery of a global platform for all customers, ING puts a lot of attention on the security processes and requirements. Following a strict set of security rules and processes, ING ensures that all platforms, user access procedures and security related tasks are in line with the security minimum standards.

The SPE payments squads are responsible for E2E delivery of payments solution for our customers in 13 countries from Europe and Asia and 3 Regional HUBS.

As an Operations Engineer, you will

• Contribute to development and deployment of SPE (Single Payment Engine) application by working closely with the other team members. Embrace emerging standards on payments while promoting best practices in IT;
• Take ownership for deployments, integration testing, performance issue or incidents;
• Operating and close monitoring of the application. Run basic infrastructure operations. Take care of the transfer flows from/to our partners;
• Find opportunities to automate the testing of existing features, performance and security as well as the automation of deployments, monitoring, and more. This is a key responsibility of the Operations Engineers.

• Working in Standby Support.
• IT Risk & security controls need to be put in place and accurately documented.
• Through Agile/Scrum you bring live new sprint releases every 2 weeks.

What you bring to the team

• 3+ years of DevOps/Automation/Support experience
• Experience in PowerShell Scripting
• Experience in Microsoft Platforms (IIS, .NET, SQL)
• Experience in Continuous Delivery technology ( Azure DevOps pipeline/YAML)
• Experience in SQL for reporting.
• Experience or affinity with Network Security concepts
• Knowledge in IaC (Terraform).
• Knowledge in Containerization ( Kubernetes)
• Nice to have - configuration automation and monitoring( DSC, Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Good communication skills, in English and Romanian
• Strong analytical skills, proactivity and willingness to share knowledge with others

Foreign languages: English (advanced)
Education: nice to have Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in an IT related field..
