Purpose of Role:

The Operation Systems Manager will lead the post-trade product management team for ION's XTP clearing solution. Responsibilities include but not limited to product ownership, overseeing system upgrades and enhancements required to ensure robust/stable operational processing, managing exchange/regulatory enhancements, collaborating with internal operation’s departments and external vendors, and mentoring team members to ensure quality delivery and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a regional group of system support engineers.
  • Delegate work responsibilities across the team.
  • Participate is weekly/biweekly/monthly sprints for development, system upgrades and collaborative testing effort.
  •  Collaborating with the Vendors Technical Account Management team in weekly meetings and calls as a subject matter expert
  •  Work with Operation’s departments to ensure solutions meet business requirements, including testing new functionality.
  • Act as liaison between functional areas, third party vendors, and exchanges on market led initiatives.
  • Identifying areas of improvement and working closely with the Head of Operations.
  • Manage vendor system upgrades and patch sweeps, in accordance with the firms change control policies. this may require weekend work for product validation.
  • Ensure static data is accurate for new products and new exchanges.
  • Build and enhance reports from the back and middle office across multiple asset classes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues daily as part of the global support function.
  • Ensure all systems and procedures are fully documented, including environment schematics.
  • Open and track items as they arise with the vendor
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with
  •  Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.

Skills and Experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 10 years industry experience (financial services, investment banking, or related firm). 
  • Extensive knowledge of ION’s XTP clearing solution.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  •  Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.

Salary Range: $150,000 to $200,000 per year and eligible for discretionary bonus.
