Job Summary
The Operations Supervisor will collaborate with the Facility Manager to oversee the field workforce, ensuring safe, effective, and efficient operations. They will also ensure that training, certifications, vehicle inspections, and maintenance comply with company policies. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can manage multiple projects while working both independently and within a team environment and must be able to extend scheduled working hours to accommodate emergency coverage or complete work in progress.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Responsible for workforce compliance with all safety regulations including all OSHA requirements.
  • Responsible for coordination, delegation, supervision and quality control of onsite work including responsibility for performance and productivity of field personnel.
  • Oversight of daily CBI activities of personnel assigned on projects (e.g., Foremen, Field Technicians, Drivers, etc.). Includes, but is not limited to, managing hours worked on projects, OT hours, and coaching and discipline on projects site, as needed.
  • Responsible for identifying training needs, and technical and behavioral shortfalls, identify competencies and training required to develop CBI field personnel.
  • Coordinate with the Facility Manager on training opportunities with CBI field personnel to ensure appropriate training and development.
  • Responsible for performing field inspections.
  • Track daily production for field personnel and achieve schedule demands at all times.
  • Evaluate field personnel’s performance and provide coaching
  • Develop effective relationships with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Interact with subcontractors and field personnel regarding work completion, and resolve conflicts when necessary
  • Perform work along with field personnel as needed
  • Accurate and timely reporting of progress on supervised projects to ensure appropriate staffing and management of resources and equipment
  • Report deficiencies in equipment and operational items
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Ensure all operators using CBI equipment are trained, and properly signed off on training, in accordance with approved operational and safety processes
  • Ensure work areas are clean and safe
  • Understand the company’s emergency response plan. Participate in emergency drills. Be a part of emergency response action team
  • Wear appropriate personal protective (PPE) equipment for tasks and ensure coworkers and drivers wear PPE
  • Must be able to extend scheduled working hours to accommodate emergency coverage or complete work in progress.

Requirements Skills

  • Mechanical knowledge of field equipment or the ability to learn.
  • The ability to understand and analyze a customer’s business, allowing for the identification of job requirements.
  • Working knowledge of safety procedures and application of safety principles
  • Mathematical Skills, 12th grade level or above desired.
  • High customer focus and customer service skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership, professionalism, waste stream expertise and a proven track record of profiling and documenting for areas of direct accountability are paramount to the success of this position. Upholds a professional image to those both inside and outside the company.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three (3) years previous supervisory experience. Field experience in this industry a plus.
  • Must be able to work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Previous project management experience preferred.
  • Must pass a HAZMAT physical, including a pulmonary function test that permits wearing a full-face respirator.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
