Job Description:
The Operations Reporting and Analytics Specialist plays a crucial role in gathering and analyzing data from diverse sources across various operational functions including: New Business, Underwriting, Inforce Policy Management, Claims, Licensing, Contracts and Commissions. This role will work closely with functional leaders developing visibility and insights into staff planning developing a deep understanding of the day-to-day aspects of managing service and impacts of the change to inputs.
Reporting to the Director of Reporting, Unit Cost and Staffing this highly analytical role will collaborate with Operations leaders to develop volume driven staff models playing a key role in determining staffing needs across the organization and managing expenses. Additionally, the role will support automated report distribution from Chorus, ensuring that data-driven insights guide leadership decisions on staffing levels and operational trends.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and forecast process staffing needs, developing sophisticated models and tools to enhance accuracy and quality.
- Utilize data findings and analysis to identify process gaps and opportunities for increased service levels and report findings and actionable recommendations for solutions to leadership.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders providing process-oriented reporting out of work distribution system.
- Guide stakeholders through KPI process and identify data relationships to form leading and lagging indicators supporting results.
- Ensure data reliability and integrity by reconciling conflicting data and establishing a trusted source of truth.
- Build, evaluate, and maintain intuitive, actionable strategic minded models that allow users to understand performance quickly and easily, identify success and improvement opportunities.
- Implement and maintain a process staff planning model that can be utilized across multiple lines of businesses which will allow a view into forecasted volumes and staffing needs.
- Analyze transactional volumes to assist the business in resource monitoring and planning.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to answer or address specific business questions while ensuring findings are replicable and defendable.
- Serve as an expert in Operations metrics data and data sources, including connecting information across diverse internal and external systems.
- Function as a curator and quality champion of data by developing and enforcing best practices for analytics tag schema and data audit processes.
- Prioritize and reprioritize projects according to alignment with and impact on key strategic initiatives.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience with Chorus or AWD reporting strongly desired.
- Proven work in financial services with data compilation and metrics reporting experience.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to define and digest large data sets and write analysis.
- Translate data into a clear, relevant, and actionable insights for business stakeholders delivered with recommendations on next steps.

- Bachelor's Degree Required
Experience
- 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analytics or related discipline Required
Licenses
- Society of Workforce Planning Professionals (SWPP), MBA or CPA Preferred
Base Salary Range: $78,000 - $114,000
