Who are we?

Since Day 1, KIND has had a vision for a kinder and healthier world. A world in which people never have to choose between what tastes good, feels good, and does good when it comes to their snacking.

Our iconic KIND® bars – made with real, recognizable ingredients – sparked the growth of an entirely new healthy snacking category back in 2004. Now, KIND has a family of more than 80 snacks that offer solutions for a variety of occasions. All of KIND's products lead with a nutrient-dense first ingredient – like nuts or whole grains – and do not contain genetically engineered ingredients, sugar alcohols or artificial sweeteners.

We’re looking for passionate collaborators to help us become the foremost leader in health & wellness and positively impact society along the way. If you’re looking to be a part of an inspiring, energetic and entrepreneurial environment, you’ve found the right place.

What you’ll do

KIND has an exciting and ambitious Strategic Plan that will enable us to take our growth and performance to the next level.  Innovation and product optimization are critical drivers of that success.  As such, we are looking for a Project Manager to drive innovation, new pack types and product optimization.  You will join an established group that will be the backbone of our commercialization efforts.  This role will provide you with many opportunities to make a visible and meaningful impact.  Working with the VP of Commercialization and Planning, the SVP of Supply Chain, and key leaders across KIND, you will be running cross functional meetings, working with multiple leaders on multiple projects while striving for continuous improvement.

  • Scope, plan and manage multiple projects: Set goals and objectives, create project plans, determine resources and budgets, identify risks, develop contingency plans, create a change management plan and set KPIs
  • Execute with excellence: Manage accurate project timelines, ensure clarity of responsibilities across owners / contributors, anticipate risks, identify mitigation approaches, monitor progress, track KPIs, and ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget all while managing stakeholders / communication
  • Lead and organize cross-functional teams to ensure resolution of complex issues effectively
  • Develop a deep understanding of KIND’s innovation, operational and commercial activities to be a subject matter expert to challenge legacy process (vs. just pushing a timeline)
  • Have a clear understanding of the business case (e.g., consumer insights, financials, marketing business case, operations & supply chain impact) to be a thought partner with cross functional team members
  • Apply (and share with team members) project management best practices that have driven your success
  • Follow the KIND stage gate model AND help refine our commercialization process to drive value, speed and quality (cost effectively)

What you’ll bring to KIND

  • Proven skills and results in Program and Project Management
  • Strong people skills with a proven track record of driving change, ability to influence, facilitate groups with diverse perspectives and bring teams to consensus / alignment
  • Strong organization skills, especially managing complex projects
  • Solid written and oral communication skills (e.g., clear and compelling “story”, with accurate insights and a well thought out recommendation)
  • Excellent problem solving in both ambiguous and tactical situations and a bias for action (i.e., you ask “how can we?” vs. “can we?”)
  • Experience managing cross functional teams with limited resources in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment and comfort working in ambiguity
  • Entrepreneurial and creative solution orientated mindset, with the ability to ‘think like as an owner', be flexible
  • Forward thinking to look around the corner and see what is coming
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence, high quality standards, and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in PM tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smart Sheet), Excel and PowerPoint

You are

  • A team player and change champion (proven experiences of leading other to think and differently according to the business needs)
  • Highly organized with the ability to organize others around you
  • Level-headed with the ability to maintain focus on the critical tasks at hand
  • Driven, resourceful, curious, and a fast learner
  • Uncompromising in your professionalism and ethical conduct
  • Passionate for KIND and healthy snacks
  • Genuine in your desire to help make the world a kinder place, committing to always spreading and celebrating kindness

You have

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in program and project management
  • CPG experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree; Masters or MBA a plus
  • Certification in Project Management a plus
  • Deep knowledge of how CPG (food) companies and large retailers operate
  • Experience in IBP (integrated business planning)
  • Track record of successfully executing program and project management using a stage gate process
