We are seeking a Operations Program Manager to join Anduril, working in a cutting-edge start-up environment to advance the state-of-the-possible in subsea robotics.
Working across the Operations Division within Anduril Australia’s Maritime Division, you are a proactive individual with technical expertise to evaluate, qualify, and manage an increasing number of parallel pursuits. You will be required to learn technical concepts and balance these needs with the commercial requirements necessary for a successful manufacturing business to quickly iterate and execute on tasks against tight timelines. You will be expected to use your technical background in conjunction with your program management and financial literacy skills to lead cross-functional efforts and deliver the best outcome for Anduril.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Operations team across Supply Chain, Production, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to ensure clear alignment of objectives and communication of milestones.
  • Project Planning: Identify, track, and manage risks associated with the Production team including the generation and maintenance of project schedules for new product changes, early production ramp and capital projects.
  • Financial Analysis: Work closely with the Director of Operations to analyse manufacturing operations, including cost of goods, labor utilisation, and capacity planning to identify opportunities to improve the bottom line.
  • Contract Management: Provide contract management support including statements of work, change orders, terms and conditions, etc. Assist in managing supplier deliverables, including routine status updates on delivery to Anduril.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Utilise emotional intelligence to build trust and rapport with high-performing teams. For example, effectively navigate conflicts or differing priorities by facilitating open discussions and encouraging collaborative problem-solving.
  • Reporting and Metrics: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Understand and work closely with the Design team, ensuring that all stages of the new product development process are executed in alignment with business objectives to ensure clarity of requirements and manufacturing success.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to improve operational processes, enhance productivity, and drive innovation within the manufacturing operation. Experience implementing an ERP system is a bonus.
  • Autonomous Execution: Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from stakeholders both internal and external while demonstrating high ownership on all pieces of work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field and a passion for hardware development. MBA Preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strategic understanding of supplier negotiation, supply chain constraints and production planning.
  • Experience leading or executing product development for any type of system from TRL 4-9.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis within a manufacturing context, including managing CAPEX and planning OPEX.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented with a past record of being proactive in closing gaps and solving problems.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, with proven ability to influence and inspire cross functional teams.
  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence and MS Project.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in manufacturing low rate, high complexity products combining traditional and automated methods.
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high-tech sector with complex electronic components / sensors and battery systems.
  • Experience implementing ERP Systems, such as Oracle.
  • Experience with government reporting processes and government contracts a plus.

 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
