Operations Program Manager
Job Description
About the Role:
As the pioneer Operations Program Manager at Brooks Automation Malaysia, you will be based at our Greenfield Semiconductor manufacturing facility, reporting to the Operations Director, and playing a key role in coordinating and managing the execution of projects and operational programs that drive the efficiency, quality, and performance of the manufacturing processes. This role is critical in aligning various teams and resources to ensure that production targets and operational goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
You will be a key driver of efficiency and performance within the facility and be instrumental in ensuring that the operations team meets its goals in productivity, cost control, and quality, ultimately supporting the company's growth and competitiveness in the semiconductor market.
Work Location: Onsite – Johor Bahru.
Key Responsibilities:

Program Management: Lead and manage multiple operations-related programs and projects, from initiation to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality Control, and Finance, to ensure alignment of program objectives with overall business goals.

Production Planning and Execution: Develop and implement production plans that optimize manufacturing processes and resource utilization, meeting product delivery timelines and cost targets.

Performance Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for ongoing programs, analyze production metrics, and report progress to the Operations Director. Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary.

Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and bottlenecks in production and operational processes. Develop mitigation strategies to address these risks and ensure smooth program execution.

Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and streamline manufacturing processes using lean manufacturing principles or other best practices.

Budget Management: Assist in the preparation and management of the program budget, ensuring that all costs are monitored and controlled in alignment with financial targets.

Resource Allocation: Coordinate with the Operations Director to allocate resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to ensure the successful execution of programs and projects.

Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for communication between the operations team and other stakeholders, including senior management, suppliers, and customers. Provide regular updates on program status, challenges, and achievements.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all programs and manufacturing processes comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and internal company policies.

Qualifications & Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or PMP (Project Management Professional) / Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Program or Project management within a Semiconductor or High-Tech manufacturing environment.

Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading complex projects is preferred.

Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, production planning, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize manufacturing operations.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage projects, influence cross-functional teams, and drive results.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and senior management.

Proactive problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected challenges and make quick, effective decisions.

High level of attention to detail, ensuring that program details are managed with accuracy and precision.
