About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Operations Manager to join our expanding Coatings team in Atlanta, GA or remotely. The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced team of coatings professionals, while supporting and leading a variety of multidisciplinary projects. In this role, you will play an integral part in the success of our projects and team growth.

About Our Team

Our Coatings team is engaged in projects across the southeastern U.S., nationwide, and internationally. Our diverse client base spans transportation, oil and gas, renewables, government (local, state, and federal), Department of Defense, private development, and water resources/restoration. As a key team member, you will have the opportunity to work across various industries and geographies, contributing to the continued success and growth of the team.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate scheduling, personnel, and equipment for projects.

  • Define, develop, and review inspection plans and reports.

  • Review and ensure the technical accuracy and quality of project deliverables.

  • Promote and ensure a safe work environment across all projects.

  • Mentor engineers and coatings inspectors.

  • Ensure compliance with all SSPC QP-5 requirements during project setup and management.

  • Oversee, update, and improve the coating inspector training program as required for QP-5.

  • Maintain, verify, and archive all QP-5 data essential for program success.

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting top talent to continue building a world-class coatings inspection team.

  • Additional Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong customer and client relationships to drive repeat business.

  • Perform field inspections and audits as needed.

  • Assist with preparation for annual QP-5 audits.

  • Contribute to the improvement of the QP-5 Quality Manual with suggestions and revisions.

  • Represent the company by joining and participating in industry committees.

  • Pursue continuous professional development through ongoing training.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and remotely as needed.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support projects.

  • Flexibility to work beyond typical hours, as project requirements dictate.

  • Ability to obtain a passport and CAC card.

Additional Information
 

Many factors are considered when determining compensation at Pond, including scope and level of position, geographic location, candidate skill, knowledge and experience. Starting base pay may vary depending on these factors. We anticipate filling this position as a Operations Manager with a salary range of $87,100.00 - $135,600.00 .
