Summary Generated by Built In

Kickstarter is the go-to crowdfunding platform for creative projects across everything from film, games and music to art, design, and technology. Fueled by the support of our team, our mission to help bring creative projects to life has been a core tenet since our inception in 2009.

To date, we have helped more than 268,000 creative projects reach their funding goal with pledges totalling more than $8.4 billion dollars. We continue to be committed to the growth and success of not only our community, but our team as well. Rooted in shared values, Kickstarter sees team members as whole people, giving every individual the autonomy and space to participate in decisions that impact them.

Kickstarter is seeking a motivated Operations & Creator Success Coordinator to join our Performance team. This role reports to the General Manager of the Performance team and will be focused on delivering high touch creator support and coordinating creative asset development for data-powered tools and services. This team is Kickstarter’s first new business line, and you’d be joining an experienced, creative team driven by delivering the best possible experience for creators bringing creative work to life.

Note that the typical schedule for this role is Monday - Thursday, but this role will be expected to check email and support creators as needed on Fridays on an ad hoc basis.

The salary range for this role in the United States is $60,000 – $68,500.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage the creative development process between creators and external design teams, overseeing asset briefing, intake, and approval workflows to ensure seamless execution.
  • Own end to end onboarding and offboarding experience for creators working with the Performance team by maintaining up-to-date playbooks and process documentation to drive consistency and clarity.
  • Enhance the creator experience by providing proactive support, addressing inquiries, escalating concerns, and ensuring creators feel valued and supported throughout their engagement.
  • Continuously optimize operational processes within the tasks and workload you own by identifying and implementing scalable improvements without compromising creator satisfaction.
  • Track and analyze creator sentiment, consolidating feedback to provide actionable insights that drive team improvements and enhance service offerings.
  • Support creator service adoption by assisting with pitches and helping creators understand the value of our services to encourage engagement.

About You

  • You have 1-2 years of professional experience managing and meeting the needs of clients with high expectations. Ideally, with experience pitching performance marketing services.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively, participating in team discussions, and have excellent communication and time management skills.
  • You have experience with creative development and brand-building, and a keen eye for detail.
  • You empathize with creators, the challenges of the creative process and bringing projects to life.
  • You consider the broader impacts of your work and how you can improve the whole team’s experience; identifying tooling & automation improvements, tackling systemic issues rather than firefighting, and excelling at cross-discipline collaboration.
  • You value sharing knowledge, personal growth, positive feedback, and continuously improving operational and team practices.
What You'll Enjoy
  • A fully remote workforce with plenty of opportunities to get to know your colleagues
  • 100% employer-paid health plan offerings
  • 16 paid vacation days, 10 sick days, and a company-wide winter break between Christmas and New Years
  • 25 volunteer hours each year to give back to your community
  • 16 weeks of parental leave plus fertility/family planning resources
  • Kickstarter currently operates with a 4-day workweek, a model that aligns our belief in a healthy work-life balance and gives staff the space to be more than their work
  • Incredibly talented and inspiring colleagues who know how to blend their creative endeavors into their work

What We Do

Kickstarter’s mission is to help bring creative projects to life. We measure our success as a company by how well we achieve that mission, not by the size of our profits. That’s why we reincorporated Kickstarter as a Benefit Corporation in 2015.

Benefit Corporations are for-profit companies that are obligated to consider the impact of their decisions on society, not only shareholders. Radically, positive impact on society becomes part of a Benefit Corporation’s legally defined goals. When a company becomes a Benefit Corporation, it can choose to make further commitments. In our charter, we spell out our mission, our values, and the commitments we have made to pursue them.
