We are currently recruiting an Operations Coordinator for our Myer Sydney City Fragrance & Beauty Counter.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Operations Coordinator at Chanel plays a pivotal role in ensuring operational efficiencies, inventory management, and compliance to support an industry-leading client and employee experience. You will work collaboratively across functions to optimize counter operations, ensure smooth inventory processes, and maintain high standards of stock and quality control. This role is essential in upholding the brand’s image and operational effectiveness, ensuring that all back-of-house functions run seamlessly.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ROLE

You will be responsible for managing stock movement, coordinating deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring compliance with all operational policies and procedures. You will work closely with the Business Manager and Counter Leadership Team to support the execution of operational best practices.

Key responsibilities:

  • Check deliveries for quality control, action and assess product concerns if necessary.

  • Maintain ongoing and proactive communication with Counter and Studio staff about new arrivals, order overages and shortages, and delivery delays.

  • Ensure accurate tracking and documentation of stock, accounting for products and supplies to enable compliance with designated inventory levels and help prevent out of stocks. 

  • Optimize Counter and Studio operations by best practices in inventory storage and stock control - create solution/s or look for innovative ideas.

  • Coordinate and process all returns of faulty, damaged stock and discontinued. 

  • Management of stock consolidation and / or product recalls as and when required.

  • Ensure the counter runs efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized environment including BOH areas. 

  • Work with Marketing/Events team when required to ensure sufficient stock levels of CEM gifts for ongoing programs or client events.

  • Forecasts and plans placing top up orders for upcoming campaigns to ensure sufficient stock of supporting lines is available to maximize marketing launches.
