Summary:
This individual will work closely with other DIA staff members to ensure accuracy of data within all aspects of our portfolio accounting and trading software and provide backup coverage as necessary for Operations team members. Particular focus will be on account opening/closing procedures. Additionally, this individual will assist in the support of daily account reconciliation processes. This position is required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to client and company information.
Qualifications/Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree and/or previous experience in Finance/Accounting
•Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
•Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
•Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
•Highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple demands and priorities
•Ability to work with a variety of personalities in a team environment
•Ability and desire to take on additional responsibilities to support career progression
Duties:
•Open/close accounts in our portfolio accounting and trading systems, and maintain account data as needed
•Support daily account reconciliation processes with various custodians
•Provide backup and cross training with other Operations staff to facilitate redundancy of coverage, which may include:
o Facilitating the settlement of trades
o Reviewing an updating security information within our portfolio accounting and trading systems
o Monitoring and reconciling proxy voting records
o The production and distribution of monthly/quarterly client reports
