Operational Meteorologist

Tomorrow.io's Customer Team makes it possible for weather-sensitive industries like technology and on on-demand, construction, aviation, energy, outdoor entertainment, autonomous cars, drones, and other forward-thinking businesses, to operate faster than the speed of weather. 

We’re looking for an Operational Meteorologist who’ll be working for the best, most innovative weather and climate company out there (satellites mission), type of clients we serve (best brands in the world), the team (we have highly skilled competitive forecasters), to make sure we are building the biggest weather platform in the world.

As an Operational Meteorologist at Tomorrow.io, You’ll:

• Assist in adoption with aviation and assigned tier 1 and 2 accounts.
• Ensure value realization in alignment with initial KPIs and evolving projects.
• Act as voice of the customer to internal Tomorrow.io stakeholders across business units and beyond the customer team (ex. product).
• Support new SLED deals.
• Write forecasts, lead weather briefings, and support customers through a variety of means.

What you bring: 

• 5+ years of experience as an operational meteorologist, and highly skilled in both mesoscale and synoptic meteorology, with strong forecasting ability for convective weather, winter weather, and tropical weather
• Experience forecasting for a variety of different locations and climates, with an intrinsic understanding of the meteorological nuances of each unique location
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, and comfortable leading conference calls with customers
• Experience working with DOTs, Public Works Departments, and Emergency Management 
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
