A Day in the LifeThe Site OpEx Leader will be responsible for driving Operational Excellence initiatives at our Ho Chi Minh City site. This role will focus on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing overall operational performance through the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Drive and manage site-level continuous improvement projects to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Implement MPS: Develop, implement, and sustain the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) to ensure consistent application of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across the site.
- Conduct regular site assessments to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate training and development programs to build OpEx capabilities within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of OpEx initiatives.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and impact of OpEx projects.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the site.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in operational excellence, continuous improvement, or related roles.
- Proven experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; Black Belt certification preferred.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Site Leader / Plant Manager
- Direct Reports: None initially but may include OpEx Specialists or Analysts as the program grows.
Goals and Objectives:
- Achieve measurable improvements in operational efficiency and cost reduction.
- Develop a sustainable OpEx culture within the site.
- Ensure successful implementation of Lean and Six Sigma projects.
- Enhance employee engagement and capability in operational excellence practices.
