What the job is:
CPI is looking for someone who has experience with process analysis and improvement, project management, data analysis and reporting, training and development as well as collaborating and communicating with customers, vendors and CPI employees alike, to improve various processes and the overall productivity of the organization.  The Operational Excellence Lead will be responsible for conducting a thorough analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies, develop process improvement strategies, lead and manage process improvement projects and collect and analyze data to identify trends, root causes and overall opportunities for improvements.  In addition, this person will be responsible for monitoring and measuring the effectiveness of implemented changes, timelines and projected budgets for process improvement projects and utilizing data-driven insights to make informal decisions and recommendations.

  • Solid problem-solving skills, a process-improvement mindset and creative skills along with the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis is a must. 
  • A high level of integrity ethics, morals and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and a results-oriented demeanor is a must. 
  • Computer proficiency and a strong business acumen with time management skills, effective planning and organization and proficient decision-making abilities is a must.    
  • High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or related experience and/or training.  Three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education or comparable experience working with agricultural commodities and material handling equipment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally.
  • An Associate’s Degree is a plus. 
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations.
  • Ability to speak before groups of customers or employees.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English. 
  • The ability to lift, push or pull up to 85 pounds at a time is required.
