Finance Planning and Reporting Analyst at OPPELLA, a Global Business Unit (GBU) of Sanofi based in Budapest (hybrid work model), will play a crucial role in managing financial reporting, forecasting, and business analysis within the GBU. The position is part of a team dedicated to enhancing the financial performance and supporting the integration of industrial operations and support functions. The role is designed for a finance professional with strong analytical skills and a focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management Reporting:
    • Deliver timely and actionable reporting on sales, identifying and analyzing any abnormal trends.
    • Perform data reconciliation and true-up in TM1, ensuring consistency and alignment with group guidelines (e.g., product contributions).
    • Run consistency checks across multiple systems (e.g., TM1) to ensure high-quality, accurate financial data.
    • Collaborate with country finance teams to correct data inconsistencies and enhance the overall data quality.
  • Forecasting & Planning:
    • Support the preparation of forecasts and budgets, ensuring readiness for the planning exercises.
    • Conduct data quality checks, identify discrepancies, and work with local finance teams to implement corrective actions.
    • Assist in the consolidation of regional/global data and ensure compliance with the Universal Calendar.
    • Provide first-level analysis and flag abnormal trends to regional/country finance teams.
  • Training & User Support:
    • Develop and maintain training materials, documentation, FAQs, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Support user access management for both new and existing users, ensuring proper system adoption and compliance.
    • Provide ongoing training and support to local teams, particularly in using TM1 and other financial tools.
    • Facilitate communication with stakeholders, ensuring they are informed about processes, KPIs, and any issues that arise.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Contribute to improvement projects, such as system rollouts, process transitions, and change management initiatives.
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for technical financial analysis, helping improve financial systems and processes.
    • Support global and regional projects, acting as a change agent to drive new ways of working across the business.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s in Finance, MBA, or IT is an advantage.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of experience in finance, preferably in FP&A (forecasting, planning, and reporting). Familiarity with financial systems like SAP or TM1 is beneficial.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data accuracy and process optimization.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and adapt to changing needs.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and regions.
    • High attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and verbal); French is a plus.

Main Interactions:

  • Internal: Collaborate with country finance teams, business analysis and controlling teams, global finance leaders, and project teams to ensure the alignment of financial data and processes across the organization.
