About The Role:
The Offline Events Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all offline events and activations for FairMoney in Nigeria. This includes creating impactful market activations, organizing promotional events, distributing merchandise based on the set tier system, and identifying new ideas to accelerate growth across FairMoney's products, with a special focus on the FairMoney Business unit.
The role requires a strategic thinker and an operational executor who understands the Nigerian market dynamics. The candidate must be able to lead initiatives to drive customer engagement and brand visibility and ensure alignment with the company's growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Event Management and Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and execute all offline events and activations, including market storms, trade fairs, and community engagements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure events align with marketing and product goals, particularly for FairMoney Business.
- Develop detailed event plans, including objectives, timelines, budgets, and KPIs.
Market Activation and Growth Strategy
- Design and implement activations to increase product awareness and customer acquisition, focusing on the FairMoney Business user base.
- Identify growth opportunities and create new offline strategies to penetrate untapped markets.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of events and activations, providing insights to optimize future initiatives.
Merchandise Distribution
- Oversee the distribution of branded merchandise according to the established tier system.
- Manage inventory, ensuring the availability of materials for events and campaigns.
- Innovate ways to use merchandise as a tool to engage target audiences and reinforce brand loyalty.
Vendor and Partner Management
- Identify and collaborate with reliable vendors, agencies, and third-party partners to deliver seamless event execution.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality deliverables.
Budgeting and Reporting
- Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Track and report on event performance, including attendance, engagement, and ROI metrics.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in event management, brand activations, or field marketing, preferably in the fintech or FMCG sector.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale events and activations in Nigeria.
Skills and Competencies:
- Event Planning & Execution: Expertise in coordinating events from concept to completion.
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to measure and analyze the impact of events on business growth.
- Creativity: A flair for developing engaging and innovative offline marketing strategies.
- Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events simultaneously.
