About the role:

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Office Operations Assistant to join our team. This dual-role position combines front desk reception responsibilities with hands-on physical support in maintaining and organizing our office space. The ideal candidate will have a friendly demeanor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle moderate manual labor.

Responsibilities:

  • Reception - 
    • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience.
    • Answer incoming calls, co-manage the reception email account, and handle package distribution.
    • Maintain a tidy and organized front desk and lobby area.
    • Guide vendors through the office space, ensuring they have proper access and are aware of any relevant protocols. 
    • Assist employees with inquiries about office operations.
  • Office Support  - 
    • Assist with moving, organizing, and setting up office furniture and equipment as needed.
    • Coordinate and execute basic maintenance tasks, such as stocking supplies, assembling furniture, and arranging deliveries. 
    • Support the Operations team in organizing storage spaces and ensuring common areas are clean and functional.
    • Help prepare for office events, including setup and teardown of furniture and equipment.

This is a part-time position onsite here in our NYC office (30 hours per week) with compensation of $30 per hour.

  • Strong communication and organization skills are a must, as you'll work across teams and handle multiple priorities. 
  • You are reliable and move with a sense of urgency, you take initiative, and ensure a seamless office experience. 
  • You are detail-oriented, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
