The Workplace Experience team is an essential part of CPP Investments’ Global Corporate Services team. We operate and maintain our physical spaces to enhance the workplace experience, maximize productivity, collaboration, and flexibility, support sustainability goals, and ensure accessibility and inclusion for all staff and visitors.
Job Summary
As an Office Manager, Workplace Experience, you will oversee CPP Investments’ corporate workplaces and premises in New York and San Francisco. Your responsibilities will encompass all office operations, facility infrastructure, procedures, and processes, ensuring the effective management of daily activities and long-term initiatives. You will play a crucial role in maintaining an organized and efficient work environment, supporting the productivity and success of the entire team. Additionally, you will drive an enhanced workplace experience through active engagement and the delivery of centralized programs and services. Your efforts will ensure the delivery of an inspiring and energizing workplace that optimizes operational effectiveness, adapts to the evolving needs of the organization, and supports a best-in-class employee experience.
Accountabilities
Oversee all daily operations in the New York and San Francisco offices, ensuring an exceptional workplace experience that fosters cross-Fund collaboration and employee engagement. Manage multiple projects and activities, optimize business operations, and implement workspace strategies within the region.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a diverse, high-performance team of workplace professionals across various locations, delivering service excellence.
- Manage all facility-related functional and operational issues, handling day-to-day operations and emergencies as required. Oversee all facility maintenance and repairs, coordinating with service providers to ensure timely and high-standard completion of maintenance and repair work.
- Supervise the daily operations of the team, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution of all daily and cyclical activities.
- Develop and implement operational procedures and processes to ensure efficient and effective team and facility operations.
- Oversee financial management within the region, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Analyze and monitor operational costs to ensure the region operates within budget. Provide monthly budget variance reports and information for preparing the overall annual operational and capital budget.
- Drive excellence in the Workplace Experience within your region, focusing on improvements that are reflected as an increase to the WE survey score.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Facilities Management, Office Services, or Workplace Experience. This should include a mix of facility management/infrastructure experience and front line reception/office manager/hospitality roles.
- At least 1 year of experience leading a team, preferably across a varied geographic area.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven relationship builder who develops lasting, positive, and value-adding relationships.
- Experience leading business transformation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Proficiency with Outlook, MS Word, and Excel, including the ability to create, maintain, and analyze budgets and financial data.
- Experience working in a dynamic environment with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize to ensure service excellence.
- Proactive self-starter who initiates ideas and owns and delivers work that adds value to the Fund and contributes to CPP Investments' business objectives.

The salary range for this position is $97,000 - $145,000 USD
US state/city legislation requires CPP investments to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The base salary range shown here is a reasonable expectation for the posted role and is part of a competitive total rewards package which includes comprehensive benefits, a performance-based incentive plan, a 401 (k) plan and paid time off. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, experience and expertise.
