Role summary
We are looking for an OEM Sales Engineer who will be responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with key customers and trade organizations, understanding and solidifying purchase agreements, customer alliances, and market trends in France, Benelux, and the Netherlands. The successful candidate will develop a keen understanding of our operations to enhance selling effectiveness and coordinate efforts with other internal and third-party selling channel partners.
Your role
-
Drive bookings levels to meet and/or exceed assigned sales goals for mechanical seals and auxiliary systems for pumps, mixers, and specialty rotating equipment.

Identify and engage new customer opportunities, autonomously assessing potential clients and securing RFQs and orders.

Maintain regular, planned communication with key customers, including OEM factories, sales offices, and EPCs.

Develop and implement marketing plans aligned with regional sales objectives to support organizational goals.

Serve customers as a primary contact for all business dealings, ensuring all concerns are addressed, including proposals, deliveries, repairs, quality, warranty claims, etc.

Educate customers on the quality, features, and applications of our products through the full use of marketing materials.

Collaborate with application engineers, customer service, and manufacturing to ensure customer needs are met.

Develop and maintain high-level connections at major OEM accounts, HQs, and EPCs.

Engage in strategic planning and coordination of OEM/Project Seals sales regionally and internationally.

Attend trade shows and industry events to expand the customer base.

Gather market price and competitor positioning data to inform strategic planning.

Ensure organized records, including reports, quotes, sales status, expenses, etc.

Demonstrate financial acumen to discuss business decisions, particularly return on investment, in support of solution selling.

Work independently, efficiently, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Support customers with troubleshooting and manage terms & conditions issues, including late payment collection.

Provide quality and timely monthly reports.

Your profile
-
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent relevant field with at least 5-7 years of experience.

Experience in sales and business development, particularly with OEMs, EPCs, and industrial HQs.

Knowledge of mechanical seals, rotating equipment, and related systems is a plus.

Sales experience in industrial markets, including oil & gas, power, paper, and chemical industries.

Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.

Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, set agendas, facilitate discussions, and assign follow-up activities.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.

High proficiency in both English and French (85%-90%). Dutch is a plus.

Project management experience is a plus.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing tasks autonomously.

Ability to work remotely while frequently traveling (approximately 70%) to meet customers.
