Withum’s Outsourced Accounting Systems and Services (OASyS) team is seeking an Outsourced Accounting Manager to join our growing team in our East Brunswick, NJ; Red Bank, NJ; or Whippany, NJ office. This role will be a hybrid-based position. The Outsourced Accounting Manager will oversee and work together with staff and senior team members to service a wide range of not-for-profit organizations. How You’ll Spend Your Time:
- Supervising a team
- Reviewing and approving payments to vendors / contractors
- Reviewing and approving payroll
- Handling month end close process
- Reviewing and approving all proposed JEs
- Reviewing all reconciliations for Balance sheet accounts
- Monthly Financial Reporting including FS, narratives and dashboards
- Assisting with grant reporting and submissions
- Budgeting / Cash flow forecasting
- Working with Client Leadership of organization
- Facilitating outside annual audits
- Ensuring proper internal controls and enhancement of processes
The Kinds of People We Want to Talk to Have Many of The Following:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- CPA preferred and/or MBA equivalent
- 5-7+ years of accounting experience
- Outstanding communication skills
- Preferably experience with Intacct Accounting System, QuickBooks, and/or NetSuite Accounting Systems
- Experience working with not-for-profit organizations and community organizations with a basic understanding of accounting reporting for not-for-profits
- Involvement in their community and desire to “give back”
