Nonprofit Relationship Management Project ManagerThe Nonprofit Relationship Management (NRM) practice at RSM assists nonprofit and association clients to strategize and implement the right solutions at the right time to help fulfill their missions. Our team provides consulting services to configure and optimize cloud-based solutions, including iMIS Engagement Management System, Salesforce Nimble AMS, and Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud. We are a rapidly growing team seeking a qualified professional with a project management skillset.The selected individual will be expected to provide overall coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of client projects within the NRM practice. An effective candidate must be a self-starter with proven critical thinking and soft skills. This candidate is also willing to work closely with the existing project management and consulting team, including learning through mentorship and on-the-job training as well as self-study.Responsibilities include:

  • Organize and lead projects across multiple solutions sets varying in size and complexity.
  • Work within the established project management methodology and toolset within the NRM practice.
  • Setup project plans and tasks in project management and billing systems.
  • Work with the NRM Project Management Office and practice Resource Manager to assign resources to tasks, including forecasting utilization in advance.
  • Identify project risks and generate mitigation plans.
  • Lead the process of issue identification and resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Discuss and document project status weekly with project team members and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate challenges and/or changes within scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Manage budgets, including monitoring of estimate to complete and other key metrics.
  • Facilitate internal and external-facing meetings to ensure completion of agenda items in a timely manner.
  • Keep all project information accurate in the Project Management system of record.
  • Manage documentation collection and retention in accordance with firm compliance policy.
  • Foster relationships between clients and the RSM team.
  • Identify areas of cross-functional collaboration.

Required Skills and Experience include:

  • Experience working with or directly in an association or a nonprofit organization.
  • Previous experience working in or with Salesforce and/or iMIS or another association management software.
  • Ability to effectively manage time to complete multiple tasks across various projects in an efficient and high-quality manner.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate within the internal team and with clients through email, instant messaging systems, project management systems, web conferencing, and in person.
  • Ability to work well with a virtual-based team in a fast-paced environment, including the ability to provide guidance and direction in multiple delivery formats.
  • Willingness to ask questions, research new skills and technologies, and cross-train as requested.
  • Experience speaking and communicating information (good and bad news) to a large or small audience.
  • Keen sense of details and ability to be proactive to reduce risks or issues.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a dedication to the customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated success using enterprise project management software and project planning tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, Atlassian Jira, Basecamp, Slack, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, etc.).
  • Must possess a high degree of integrity and ability to adhere to both firm policies and best practices.

Note: You will be encouraged to achieve and maintain certifications applicable to the job (i.e., Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification; Salesforce certifications).

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $91,200 - $172,700

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
