As a Mobile Test Engineer you will play an instrumental role in ensuring the quality of multiple customer journeys around Payments in our flagship NN App. In your new role, the decisions you make and the QA approach you adopt across the product chain has the potential to make a difference in over 500,000 customers’ lives every day.
Your impact as Mobile Test Engineer at NN
As our Mobile Test Engineer, you will get comfortable with our mobile App, Digital Product Layer built on AWS, and multiple external SaaS providers. You are part of a Scrum team and focus on the preparation and execution of (automated) tests (see below for details). You will work primarily with Detox, Cucumber and JMeter, Postman, with a fair amount of exposure towards JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactNative, GraphQL, AWS Serverless technologies (e.g. API Gateway, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge etc) and Azure DevOps.
Your responsibilities
- You own and manage the system test cases that are responsible for but not limited to regression, usability, performance of NN App using Azure DevOps.
- You manage the test data lifecycle and ownership across the product chain.
- You automate tests to support frequent releases to higher environments.
- You define test sets for Automated regression tests.
- You document test results (manual and automated), test reports including sign-off, and own the defect lifecycle that comes along.

- You are a curious person who is passionate about software quality. Delivering high-quality digital products using modern engineering practices gives you lot of energy.
- You have the flexibility to travel between look backwards (into the shift-left cycle) and look forward (onto the customer / usability perspective).
- You have vision or direction towards improving software quality (day by day).
- You have a keen eye towards where issues are usually coming up from (e.g. deployments or changes) and take the lead in raising it with the team and help in addressing the gap.
- You do not hesitate to work with fellow QA Engineers and management at multiple levels (at strategic level, at hands-on level) in improving the software quality every day.
- You are an avid follower of developments in Mobile App testing & quality assurance, Cloud testing, SaaS software testing, who constantly look for ways to adapt the code or engineering processes used in delivering the value.
- You are a fair and transparent person who does not hesitate to talk openly about challenges, failures, and successes.
Your colleagues
You are going to work across multiple teams that form the entire product chain. Each team consists of uniquely awesome individuals with different backgrounds and cultures who are working together to build and maintain the Payments product.
You will work closely with QA Engineers that are embedded in those teams. You will report to Engineering Manager of Payments.
