About the Project
iParametrics is seeking a Site Director for an exciting opportunity to lead operations and maintenance efforts at one of the nation’s most advanced healthcare research campuses. This project includes two state-of-the-art buildings at the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD:

  • Building 1: An 800,000 sq. ft. cutting-edge research hospital with complex HVAC, clean rooms, and operating rooms.
  • Building 2: A modern all-electric power plant providing emergency and normal power for the campus, targeted for completion in Q4 2025.

The construction phase spans two years, followed by a five-year operational phase with renewable one-year options. This project requires expertise in transitioning from construction to full operational management while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency.

Position Overview
As the Site Director, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the seamless transition from construction to operations. Your responsibilities will include managing the daily operations and maintenance of this complex healthcare research facility, building strong relationships with NIH stakeholders, and leading a diverse team to achieve project goals. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, leadership ability, and operational excellence in healthcare and facility management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construction Handover & Operations

    • Oversee the successful transition from construction to operations for both the hospital and power plant.
    • Ensure all HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems are operational and compliant with project goals.
    • Collaborate with NIH stakeholders, trade partners, and vendors.
  • Facilities Management

    • Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
    • Manage vendor service contracts and warranties.
    • Ensure cost and schedule adherence during the operational phase.
  • Team Leadership

    • Lead and mentor a team of 30+ employees, including managers and technicians.
    • Oversee performance evaluations, training, and professional development.
  • Safety Culture & Start-Up Expertise

    • Uphold a strong safety culture consistent with the project’s values.
    • Provide technical oversight during the start-up and commissioning phases.

Qualifications

  • Experience

    • 15–30 years in construction or hospital facilities leadership.
    • Proven experience leading teams of 20–30 employees.
    • Expertise in managing complex MEP systems in healthcare or pharmaceutical settings.
  • Certifications

    • CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) required.
    • Preferred: ICRA (Infection Control Risk Assessment), operating room operations, and lab safety experience.

Benefits & CompensationAs a W2 employee of iParametrics, team members are eligible for benefits such as medical, dental and vision, and the company matching 401K plan, subject to plan terms and applicable waiting periods. Compensation for this position is salary, $150-175k, based on experience, background, and skills. Relocation: One-time reimbursement provided for permanent relocation.
