Your New Role:
The main role is to develop an inventory plan for EMEA based on demand, actual orders, network lead times and available inventory. The role will define the appropriate inventory levels in conjunction with the Global Planning team and associated required capacity (for example, distribution and production) to optimize service, working capital and costs. This role is the main point of contact with Customer Service for supply related questions and is hands-on in order to drive the creation of a finished goods inventory and distribution forecast.
What you will be doing:
- Monitor and track inventory levels and reconcile inventory variances using all available resources to identify root causes and supply possible solutions.
- Implementation of APO (KINAXIS or equivalent) planning platforms in manufacturing environment.
- Establish critical inventory parameters — such as Safety Stock settings, replenishment quantity, and launch quantity in accordance to constraints and input, such as lead time and order cycle time.
- Ensure all inventory metrics are met. Identify action items, marshal resources to address action items and follow up on all inventory-related issues to full resolution.
- Use and maintain current inventory planning systems to create the best (statistical) forecast possible using established processes.
- Report on service, back orders, short stock, excess items and slow-moving inventory to the parties concerned.
What you need to succeed:
- 5+ years experience in manufacturing role, IVDR/Medical Device/Food experience preferred.
- Demonstrated change management experience with regard to planning systems implementation
- Commercial experience in dealing with short shelf life product with regard to balance of scrap cost with product availability
- APO Planning experience preferred.
- Fluency in English is essential.
